In and Out

An out view of an Oklahoma sunset.
Captured this image as we were driving down I-35 south to visit my son for Easter weekend. Cindy didn't want me to stop but I couldn't resist the view. The yellows of the rapeseed were muted because of the fore-light of the sunset. Viewing this field was stupendous, bright yellow Brassica napus (rapeseed, a type of canola). I wish I could have taken this photo early in the morning with back-light.
In,
Out. Forthergilla
 In,
 out. Phlox subulata 'Amazing Grace'.
In,
out,
and out. View of early prairie garden hell strip. Flags are marking new native bare root plantings, Dalea, Baptisa and Geum. Look forward to this new part of the garden.

  4. I remember the first time I saw a field of rapeseed was in Germany...my jaw hit the floor! Can't wait to see your hell strip fill in...I finally found some Prairie Smoke this weekend...but keep forgetting to order some Dalea...Doh!

  5. Those fields of Canola or rapeseed, are amazing. Your shot is beautiful, even with the fore light.
Great white flowers, too. I love that Phlox. Wonder why I don't have one...

    Have a great weekend.

  7. Beautiful sunset photo. Love the in out idea. The white tulips in your hell strip are stunning. I'm thinking of white tulips for a new area. I think you just convinced me. White tulips are now on the fall bulb list!

  11. I feel quite exercised Greggo!

I almost bought a fothergilla today. The ones at the nursery here in Oregon had not begun to grow at all yet. I've learned they are also called witchalder so of course I need one.

Those white tulips are just the best.
