GGW Late Summer Photo Contest

Glad the photo contest is back after a two month hiatus, as it might reinvigorate my gardening spirit. However, I can't decide what photo to choose. The subject is late summer garden. Can you readers give me some input? Which one best instils this subject and is a quality photo?

 Thanks for you input..

  1. Dear Greggo, Oh, this is too hard --- I love them all. If I have to choose, maybe I will pick the last one, because purple cone flowers going to seed scream 'end of summer' to me. Love the delphiniums, too. Good luck with the contest. P.

  2. Picture 4 captures it for me. You are doing great with the contrasting plant forms, using the grasses. Not to mention using the camera...

  4. I like photo six best. It shows me late summer but that indicates some life still left in the garden which it shows.

  5. HAHA! I'm guessing that the readers won't help you pick that much, since it is so divided. I agree with Phillip on #3. .I LOVE the spent blooms of the coneflower with the gray and lavender haze behind them! Brilliant shot!

  7. The light in these shots is so beautiful...I especially love the way it filters through what I believe is basil in the 4th photo. Good look in the contest!

  8. Love 'em all, though Image 5 says --barely hanging on but goodbye to summer, hello fall, next up winter-- to me.
Good luck with your decision and the contest!
