Gotcha - GGW Photo Entry for November

Gotcha is the theme for Novembers Gardening Gone Wild's Photo Contest. In definition this month has to do with gardeners and not gardens.  A case for portraits. Charles Mann a professional photographer from New Mexico is the judge. This a unique topic for me as most of my photos either have plants or insects as subjects. I will use my granddaughter as the subject, as many are doing. To go see other entries go to this link: November Gallery.
Above is the selection I chose. Grandaughter and Marigolds.
Good luck to all the participants.

  1. This makes me realize I have more pictures of my plants than my grandkids!! They live halfway across the country, though, so what's a gardening grandma to do!! Looks like a fun contest :-)

  6. Good luck! She looks like she's having a great time, and I like how her bracelet picks up on the flower color. I think portraits would be very challenging!

  13. What a delightful photo! Some of my best memories involve my children, and other children, too, in the garden. I still remember the joy of exploration and discovery on their faces.

  15. Cute photo! Good luck! I saw where you were selected as a top runner for the last one- congrats! (the fill the frame). I wrote you back on my blog but in case you don't get over there to see here's what I wrote- I never know if I should respond to the person or on my blog HA:
Greggo- We got down to about 31 there at the nursery- it wasn't covered and this photo was taken yesterday, but it dies down and comes back at least where we are. That particular variety is Cuphea micropetela. I love it- one of my favorites, had it for years at the house
