ReplyDeleteGosh, I even can't remember anymore when last time I listened to Yellow Mellow by Donovan.

I am always admiring your hell strip. The neighbors must gawk.
ReplyDeleteDonovan was such a favorite of mine - still enjoy a listen now and then. Such nostalgia!
ReplyDeleteYour beds and borders are gorgeous, and the hell strip is so much more beautiful than a lawn would be there.
You have some great plant combinations there. The butterflies obviously love it too. Christina
ReplyDeleteI have that skipper in my garden too. It didn't open its wings for me though.
ReplyDeleteYour hell strip looks heavenly.
You have tons of blooms! You're putting your neighbors to shame!

Lovely sidewalk borders that the pollinators love as well..
ReplyDeleteVery cool photos of stunning blossoms. Love the mellow yellow reference.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! love the butterflies...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower and plant combinations. That first photo could be in a magazine! And I didn't know the real name for Mexican Feather Grass, but now I know it is Stipa tenuissima. It is the perfect backdrop for the rudbeckia and yarrow. What an education I get from reading blogs!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sunny garden!
ReplyDeleteYour garden sure is nice, and I grow most of what I saw in your garden but I ain't got whatever butterfly that is and wish I did......Thanks for inviting me into your garden.

ReplyDeleteYour garden is beautiful! I've enjoyed looking at your site. Thank you for visiting my site the other day. In answer to your question, my hydrangea changes from pink to blue. I originally wanted pink blooms but at this point, I'm just happy it's still alive!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful array of flowers! The last picture of the butterfly is magnificent.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! Love the shot of the rudbeckia, yarrow and feathergrass!! Oh, and the butterfly on the coneflower -- suitable for framing :-) Looks like a happy time in your garden! How is your arm, by the way?
ReplyDeleteIt's funny - I think I shared that same earworm (sans video) back in May. But to me your yellows look anything but mellow - they're positively riotous! I love that first picture especially... (and I see the mellow in that one.)
ReplyDeleteThis is a well-written piece that presents a balanced view on the topic. I appreciate the author's research and effort.
