Our household has decided to enter the monthly photo contest at Gardens Gone Wild. The theme this month is Show the Motion. If you want to look at the entries, view at June Entries GGW.
These are the photos that we felt might work, but you never know. Our choice was the last one.
I think it's a winner. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! I don't know if you all have had the wind that we have seen in western Kansas. .but if so. .it probably wasn't hard to locate something in motion :-) Love the last one!
ReplyDeleteThanks lancashire.
ReplyDeleteMelanie- you are right 50-60mph . no problem finding motion.
Lovely! The last one looks like a pleasant, friendly bouquet. All the best!
ReplyDeleteAny one of the four is a good choice, but I like the last one the best. It has a style similar to the judge, so, you have a very good chance. It has pretty subject matter and movement too. Best of luck. We have not been having wind here, maybe Wednesday at 10 mph, but that includes storms too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the contest, what a great topic this month. I agree the last one is perfect to use for the contest.
ReplyDeleteI like your choice! Very nice photo...good luck with the contest!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are wonderful! The entry picture is amazing. Good luck in the contest.
ReplyDeleteLove them! I think my fave is the last one too, Good luck with the comp =)
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful; nothing like Nassella tenuissima for movement, though it reseeds too much here--hopefully not much in your area. I like the first and next-to-last pictures the best, though again, they are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices for motion! The first one really caught my eye, and as i scrolled down, all of them looked wonderful. Good luck on the contest!
ReplyDeleteIt might be windy but that first image was really when you dropped the camera, right? Awesome photos-- Go win.
ReplyDeleteI like the last one, too. I have to set my camera on a special "wiggle" setting or all of my pix would show the motion! Your rudbeckia look great!
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful. But i wonder why if it is because of the wind, why are the yellows not moving, as in the 2nd photo. I wish to do that too!
ReplyDeleteI love them all! I think the next to the last one is my favorite, but it doesn't show motion as much as the others.
ReplyDeleteI like the last one, too. They are all beautiful. When I decided to enter the contest, I regretted that I usually delete any photos with parts out of focus (the motion!)
ReplyDeleteShiela- I'm the same way. There are less entries this month for sure, maybe that's why. I bet I took 300 photos, and I'm still not satisfied. oh well.
ReplyDeleteC Sue- I agree.
Andrea- looking at the examples they gave on the site influenced me what they were looking for.
Casa-wiggle? sounds like me trying to take a still.
Boo- Nassella is wispy, even when its still.
I suppose the still in the list of photos probably would have passed as motion.
Linniew-yes i thinks the lens feel forward.lol
Good luck with the contest! The last one is beautiful, I also love the 2nd one. Check out my post for the contest and help me decide which one to use :)
ReplyDeleteLove them...they are like cresting waves on the ocean!
ReplyDeleteAll gorgeous and a great choice for your entry!
ReplyDeletemagical images!
ReplyDeleteI just saw the gallery of all the entries into this month's contest. I think you are easily at the top.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to stop back and say that IMHO, you were robbed and your images are wonderful. You clearly had the best image (and deserved a mention) and did not need to set up your shot artificially to have a great image.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos! All are absolutely beautiful to me! Where are you located? Colorado?
ReplyDeleteUp to my mind all the images are great and the first one isn't worse than the last one.
